Outstanding individual working as a registered Food Safety Auditor

This Award recognises an individual who has been nominated by their auditee and an outstanding auditor who has brought credit to their profession across the past 12 months. 

The award is open to any individual working for an accredited Certification Body as a Food Safety Auditor. The auditor must be registered as a food safety auditor with Exemplar Global, IRCA, SQFI, or BRC for at least 3 years. They must do audits on behalf of a Certification Body that is accredited by JAS-ANZ for food safety management system certification or food product certification. The nominee must provide evidence of their food safety auditing history, having conducted at least 15 HACCP based food safety audits in the past 12 months. Nominations must not be made by a certification body. Only nominations from clients for an auditor they work directly with will be accepted.

Award Nominations Terms and Conditions

Individuals or companies may submit more than one nomination in separate categories. Self-nominations will be accepted and you may also nominate on another person’s behalf. All nominees must meet the requirements listed under each category and must be currently working in the food industry. All award winners are expected to attend the 2017 Australian HACCP Conference in Sydney, and will be responsible for their own travel and accommodation costs. Previous winners are not eligible. Awards are open to Australian, New Zealand and South Pacific Island* residents only. For the Category Two Scholarship, all training must be completed by December 2018.

  • Curriculum Vitae (CV), summarising the nominee's career in the food industry.
  • Written reference or testimonial from someone in the food safety industry. Please include the referee's name, title, organisation, contact number and email address.
